IN pursuance of the provision of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of notification no. 5548/XXXIX(2)-39(4-1)-77, dated October 28, 1977 : *No. 5548/XXXIX(2)-(4-1)-77-U.P. Act 42-75-Rule, 1, dated Lucknow, October 28, 1977 IN exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 21 of the U.P. Lokayukta and Up-Lokayuktas Act, 1975 (U.P. Short title, commencement and application
(1) These Rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Up-Lokayuktas
(Competent Authority) Rules, 1977.
2. Definition - In these Rules unless the
context otherwise requires : 3. The State Government prescribes the Chief Secretary to be the Competent Authority in relation to the public servants indicated in sub-rule (3) of Rule 1 and covered by sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of section 2 of the Act. BY
